The Electronic Labour Exchange is not a job bank. Matching is done within a particular occupation, and employers and job seekers will see only the profiles for which they get a match.
Users can either use a profile once and discard it, or advertise it for 30 dyas at a time. If you are a job seeker, you should advertise your skill profile so that employers can have access to it. Experience has shown that employers often find the right candidate among the advertised skill profiles before they advertise their job profiles.
If you are an employer with very specific needs, make sure you advertise your job profile to broaden exposure to a wider audience of candidates, since new ones join every day.
The Electronic Labour Exchange was developed by Human Resources Development Canada.
